Diy: Barefoot Sandals
Ever want a fancy piece of jewelry, but couldn't afford it?
This is a fun fun project for kids and adults. Bare foot sandals a simple and beautiful, so lets begin!
These is my barefoot sandals for example.
- First get elastic string for any crafts store. 5 mm is great to use and is cheap to buy.
Get one string the length of 30 in. to use for on foot.
- Second clip one end of the string so that when yo put beads, they won't fall off. You can clip it to a clip board if you don't have anything else.
- Then get approximately 30 seed beads and put them on the string in any pattern. Make sure they are small enough no to dig into your skin and big enough to see.
- To finish that off wrap that around your second toe. If it has too many beads, take some off, but if it doesn't have enough beads put more on. Next move the beads to the middle of the string and tie a double knot to secure the beads together.
- Next, hold the strings together and put a pattern of bead on both strings. Once you've finished that pattern tie another double knot. In the photo below that is my pattern for the top of the foot.
The rest of the string is for your ankle so make sure you have enough small beads.
- Fun idea- For the ankle, put dangling charms.
- Make the design completely around the ankle or make it only part of the ankle.
I'm making my so it looks as if there isn't even a string holding it to my ankle.
- After you've finished the pattern for the ankle tie the strings together and cut off the excess string.
This is my finished product for one of my barefoot sandals.
Now Have Fun Making The Other!!!!! Good Luck
